If you missed the training we offered back in April in Baton Rouge, this is your opportunity to fulfill this required training. Being a BSA Officer comes with a plethora of responsibilities. Each day comes with managing evolving risks, implementing various parts of BSA regulations, keeping up with guidance, scanning through tons of monitoring reports and staying prepared for BSA examinations. This interactive one-day program the BSA Officer will receive an update on a variety of recent and relevant BSA topics including:

  • Beneficial Ownership
  • Current Update on BSA Reform
  • Customer Identification Programs
  • Avoiding Errors when Implementing new Customer Due Diligence Rules
  • BSA Risk/Risk Assessment on New Payment Mechanisms
  • Updates on SARs, CTRs, Marijuana & OFAC
  • Examination Hot Spots and How to best avoid them
  • How Each of These Play into BSA - Identity Theft, Elder Exploitation, Cybersecurity Incidents (Online Banking, Mobile Banking) and ACH 

About the Speaker

Stephanie Cartwright is a familiar face in the credit union world and brings working credit union experience. Over her 25 years she had gained a wealth of knowledge on credit union operations and regulatory compliance including BSA and information security. She understands the challenge of balancing a stellar member’s experience with complying with the regulations. She recognizes every credit union is different therefore each BSA compliance standard is different. The attendees will hear from a resource who has experienced BSA compliance practices as a BSA Officer, as a teller, as a loan officer, and as a trainer. Stephanie currently works for VYFI, LLC, a CUSO that serves credit unions to meet their information and cyber security and regulatory compliance needs.

For those applying for an education grant, the value of food and beverage provided is $40 per person and cannot be deducted from the cost of the program.

Recommended Accommodations:

There is not group block for this program, but we are making recommendations of two nearby hotels with availability both offering fantastic rates. Both properties are less than a five minute drive from our meeting venue.
