UNO Federal Credit Union (UNOFCU) was awarded $100 in a random drawing for social media posts during CU Shared Branching Awareness Week by the Louisiana Credit Union League (LCUL). UNOFCU has chosen to contribute this donation to the University of New Orleans’ (UNO) Privateer Pantry.
UNO’s Privateer Pantry provides supplementary food assistance to all students currently enrolled at UNO. Various shelf-stable items, personal care products, and recipe suggestions are offered. Privateer Pantry is located at the Office of Student Affairs in the University Center, Room 248.
“We sincerely appreciate the generous support of the UNO Federal Credit Union! While we are grateful for a variety of donations, cash donations allow us to purchase precisely the needs that the Privateer Pantry has at any given moment. This donation will provide nearly a week’s worth of pantry orders for our students,” said LeeAnne Sipes, Dean of Students at UNO.
Prospective donors have the option to shop from Privateer Pantry’s Amazon wish list, make monetary contributions, or drop off items in person from Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
