Southwest Louisiana CU Host Grand Opening Celebration at Longville Branch

Southwest Louisiana Credit Union (SWLACU) hosted a grand opening celebration today for the South Beau Branch. This branch is the sixth Southwest Louisiana Credit Union location and the first in Beauregard Parish.

The expansion is part of the organization’s goal to provide underserved and under-banked communities access to financial services and resources. This new branch will be a full-service location where the community can access a full line of traditional financial services and all of the perks of credit union membership!

Members of the community will be able to join the credit union, open checking and savings accounts, make deposits and withdrawals, open CD accounts and apply for loans at low rates.

The South Beau branch is located at 12781 U.S. 171 in Longville. The hours are 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“This location in Beauregard Parish is our first step toward providing financial services to more people in rural and under-banked areas throughout Southwest Louisiana,” said Chad Miller, Southwest Louisiana Credit Union CEO. “We’re proud to be a part of the South Beau community and we can’t wait to work with our friends, neighbors and businesses in the area.”

Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the grand opening featured food, prizes, photo booth and a cash-grab booth for members of the community to enjoy.
