This past Friday, Southwest Louisiana Credit Union invited several of their community partners over for a meeting…with a TWIST! Instead of just sitting around talking about ideas, they gathered for a vision board party! Local movers, shakers, and community leaders joined the marketing team and several members of the C-Suite from Southwest Louisiana Credit Union to put markers, glue, pictures, and stickers to posters and foam boards- all centered around their organization’s visions, values and opportunities of 2023.
"We believe—and we've seen it over and over again—that real change happens when we get like-minded individuals in one room to discuss how we can help each other reach goals on a higher level," said Southwest Louisiana Credit Union CEO, Chad Miller.
The collective sharing of strategic goals and plans allowed participants to discover common goals and gain partnership commitments from other organizations.
We were elated that so many community partners -new and old- decided to see what our “meeting with a twist” was all about. It was so rewarding to have the organizations present their plan and their strategic goals in a room full of likeminded organizations that all share the common goal of serving our community and meeting the needs of people said Makeitta Citizen, Director of Community Engagement at SWLACU.
