As summer winds down and the new school year approaches, Southern Teachers & Parents FCU’s Thibodaux Branch has been actively involved in several back-to-school events, demonstrating their commitment to supporting local education and community well-being. The branch recently participated in three significant events: Mt. Olive Baptist Church’s “Back to School Lock-In,” (This exciting event, designed to engage and energize students before the school year starts, featured a range of activities, including games, educational workshops, and motivational talks), the “Look Who’s Reading Book Festival,” (This festival aimed to foster a love of reading among young learners by featuring author readings, interactive storytelling sessions, and book giveaways), and the Shooting Stars 9th Annual School Supplies Giveaway (this event provided essential school supplies to local students in need, ensuring they have the tools necessary for a successful start to the school year).
Through these events, Southern Teachers & Parents FCU’s Thibodaux Branch has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting local education and enhancing the well-being of students. Their participation underscores the importance of community engagement and the positive impact that local organizations can have in preparing students for a successful school year.
