On Thursday, September 14, Pelican State Credit Union hosted a FREE Financial Wellness Workshop for the Slidell community at the St. Tammany Parish Library's Slidell Branch.
Pelican’s Nationally Certified Credit Counselor, Brenda Whitney, covered topics such as the fundamentals of credit scores, what a credit report is, how credit scores are calculated, and the benefits of improving your credit score.
Attendees were treated to free jambalaya dinner, drinks, and dessert.
Following the presentation, guests were entered to win a Pelican prize pack containing a $50 gift card!
