EFCU Financial Appoints Mimi Singer Lee as Chief People and Inclusion Officer

EFCU Financial is pleased to announce the appointment of Mimi Singer Lee as the Credit Union’s Chief People and Inclusion Officer effective July 1, 2024. This is a newly established position, and she will join the executive leadership team reporting to Chief Executive Officer Tom Kuslikis.

Dr. Mimi Singer Lee brings more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources leadership. She previously served as Executive Vice President/Chief Human Resources Officer and most recently, Chief Communications Officer, at b1BANK. Before joining b1BANK, she worked at Louisiana State University in various roles of increasing responsibility, including interim Chief Human Resources Officer. She has broad and deep expertise that encompasses talent acquisition and recruitment, talent development, performance and talent management, employee experience and culture, compensation, and Human Capital Management technology.

“A positive credit union member experience begins with an outstanding team member experience, and Dr. Singer Lee has consistently demonstrated an ability to discover innovative methods to improve it,” said Kuslikis. “We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Singer Lee to the EFCU Financial family.”

Dr. Singer Lee earned her PhD in Human Resource Education from Louisiana State University. She held the Professional in Human Resources certification from HRCI along with the SHRM Certified Professional designation. She served several years on the Greater Baton Rouge Society for Human Resource Management (GBR SHRM) Board of Directors and in 2014, was selected as the chapter President.

Dr. Singer Lee is an active member of the Baton Rouge community. She is one of the founding members of the Echo Alliance, a collaborative “giving circle” benefiting Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. She served in multiple leadership positions within the Junior League of Baton Rouge and is now a sustaining member and Community Advisory Board member. She is a current member of the Baton Rouge General Foundation Board of Governors, the Louisiana State University College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council, the Louisiana State University College of Human Sciences & Education Dean’s Advisory Council and the Board for the Louisiana Alliance for Nonprofits.

Dr. Singer Lee has received numerous professional recognitions including the “Outstanding Professional of the Year” by the Greater Baton Rouge Society for Human Resource Management for her contributions to the HR profession and the local Baton Rouge community. She was one of the 2023 “Influential Women in Business” honorees named by the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report and was honored as one of the best and brightest professionals in the Capital Region in the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Forty Under 40.” She was recently selected as a member of the prestigious Leadership Louisiana class of 2024 facilitated by the Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL).
