Carter Credit Union has been selected as Louisiana Economic Development Corporation’s MLP 2024 Lender of the Year. Each year Louisiana Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) selects a lender that has shown stellar performance among dedicated Micro Lenders. These lenders demonstrated mission aligned engagement of their overall program usage particularly in supporting start-up/early-stage businesses, small businesses, and SEDI-owned businesses.
Carter Credit Union has been instrumental in providing much needed capital to small businesses in Louisiana.

Carter is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) credit union which means we are a specialized community based financial institutions with a primary mission to promote economic development by providing financial products and services to people and communities underserved by traditional financial institutions, particularly in low-income communities.
