This annual event, hosted by the Norwela Council Scout Reach Committee, recognizes individuals who actively advocate for and support disadvantaged youth in inner-city and rural communities. The award serves as a tribute to the legacy of Whitney M. Young, Jr., a prominent American civil rights leader, who challenged the Boy Scouts of America in 1968 to promote inclusion and champion the well-being of all youth.
