Campus Federal Board Chair Donna Torres Receives Distinguished Service Award

The Kiwanis Club of LSU has recognized Campus Federal Board Chair Donna Torres with their Annual Distinguished Service Award for her service to LSU in numerous roles for the last 30 years.

This award is given to a current or retired LSU employee of ten or more years who has demonstrated service of a distinguished nature over an extended period and has accomplished notable achievements in their field related to the LSU community. Torres was presented with the award at the club’s Annual Awards Luncheon.

Torres’ service to LSU began 30 years ago as Payroll Director and has held various roles at LSU with increasing levels of responsibility. She now serves as the Vice President for Finance at LSU and an adjunct instructor of Accounting. She has taught Government and Not-for-Profit Accounting for 25 years. She has volunteered with Campus Federal for 23 years serving on the Supervisory Committee and Board of Directors.

Torres also serves on the Board of Directors for the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center, Baton Rouge Symphony, and the Tiger Booster Clubs.

Torres holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting from LSU and is a Certified Public Accountant.
