Bellow Celebrates 30 years at Southwest Louisiana Credit Union

Angelia “Angie” Bellow, chief administrative officer of Southwest Louisiana Credit Union (SWLACU), recently marked 30 years of service at SWLACU.

Starting in 1993 as a member service representative, she advanced through the years to become chief administrative officer. During those years, she saw SWLACU grow from a $17 million financial institution to its present size of $170 million.

She has helped create a culture of empowerment and inclusion at SWLACU. Bellow has been instrumental in moving the credit union forward, especially in the types of services they offer. When she first started, SWLACU was only offering loans and savings. But with Bellow spearheading the move forward, that quickly changed.

She plans on retiring at SWLACU and continuing to serve and mentor local people. “I am so thankful for my opportunity here,” Bellow said. “I don’t think it could have been better. I couldn’t have planned it to work out the way it did.”
