The Grand Opening of Ascension Credit Union’s Ascension Small Business Center, the 20th Anniversary celebration of Microbusiness Enterprise Corporation of Ascension (MBECA), and the launch of the new Ascension Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council was recently held in conjunction with the Ascension Chamber’s Smart Start Breakfast, which over 100 people attended!
Speakers included: David Alexander, President/CEO of The Ascension Chamber, Lloyd Cockerham, President/CEO of Ascension Credit Union, Lee Melancon, Executive Director MBECA and ACU’s VP of Business Services, Community Development and Marketing, Juanita Pearley, Executive Director of the Donaldsonville Area Chamber of Commerce, Stephanie Hartman, Louisiana Economic Development Director of Small Business Services and MBECA Board Chair, and Kayla Fuselier Clouatre, Co-Chair of the Ascension Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council.
The newly established Ascension Small Business Center in partnership with MBECA, will offer small and emerging businesses opportunities for business planning, technical assistance and one-on-one specialized training. Individual counseling and workshops are available on a recurring basis and are FREE for owners of businesses from startup to accelerated growth. YOUR COMMUNITY... YOUR CREDIT UNION!
