Role: To improve overall employee effectiveness / performance through the application of individual and group training techniques and programs, consistent with the Credit union's organizational priorities while exemplifying the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
35% Conducts new employee orientation sessions, including use of computers and software; conducts training in marketing techniques, safety practices, etc.
30% Follows training outline and determines instructional methods, utilizing all areas / options of media
15% Evaluates and assists in updating training manuals related materials, training classes and training procedures.
10% Tracks the progress of trainees through routine tests, observation, and feedback from supervisors; evaluates the effectiveness of the current training.
5% Completes required reports and documents; attends meetings as required.
5% Performs other job related duties as needed.
Performance Measurements:
1. To carry out assigned responsibilities according to established department standards.
2. To meet all training objectives and goals established for the year.
3. To maintain a basic understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies and procedures, as well an understanding of the Credit Union's mission.
4. To complete reports and records accurately and in a timely manner.
5. To identify any problems in training effectiveness and make changes to resolve them.
6. To provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills Must be a team player skilled at building and strengthening relationships. Must also possess superior in-person, telephone and written communication skills/ A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
Other Skills
1. Must possess excellent communication skills.
2. Must be able to operate related computer software and business equipment including 10-key, telephone, slide, film, overhead projector, and other related training aids.
3. Professionalism in appearance, dress, and attitude is a must.
4. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Physical Requirements Must be able to sit or stand as needed for extended periods of time.
