The role of the Employee Relations Manager responsible for overseeing workplace relations involving employee policies and practices. The Employee Relations Manager will conduct workplace investigations, facilitate timely resolutions, and provide guidance for complex and escalated employee relations matters. They will also be responsible for planning and implementing company-sponsored employee functions. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for serving others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel, is a must! They should be comfortable working independently and as a contributing member of a team. Meeting deadlines and attention to detail are critical pieces of this position. A Day in the Life of an Employee Relations Manager Includes:
- Conducting and overseeing workplace investigations
- Ensuring policies/procedures are properly adhered to and executed
- Performing and/or participating in audits relating to employment labor matters
- Reviewing all employee counseling/disciplinary forms
- Conducting applicable training in classroom settings or on an individual basis
Employee Relations Manager Skills and Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field of study.
- HRCI or SHRM Certification is strongly preferred
- additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- 5+ years in employee relations, disciplinary action, and conducting workplace investigations
- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of state, local, and federal labor laws
