Branch Manager: Monroe

Monroe Telco Federal Credit Union is looking to hire a full time Branch Manager in Monroe.

Job Summary: Leads and manages the credit union branch towards meeting or exceeding sales, service and operational goals. Identifies along with participates in business development and community outreach events in order to establish a presence to drive new member relationships. Responsible for the leadership and growth of the credit union branch including supervision of staff, loan production, funding of loans, new member applications, achieving service level standards, sales, loss mitigation and building member relationships. Coaches a sales and service team environment in accordance with credit union mission and values. Gather and analyze branch data on a regular basis for all branch activities including funding ratios, transactions, lobby traffic, new accounts and team performance.

Job Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of management-level operations experience in credit union or a financial institution of similar asset size or larger.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • A passion for providing exceptional member service.
  • Strong independent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Credit Union certifications are a plus; Example: SRCUS, CCUE, Designations, etc.
  • Financial lending is preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Develop staff and participate in various business development and community activities within the market segments to increase sales of all products and services.
  • Promotes the credit union's branch identity and goodwill within the communities it serves.
  • Manages all daily branch/department functions including supervision of staff, loan application processing, new member applications, service delivery, sales, mitigating losses and reporting.
  • Taking applications for customer loans as well as new memberships.
  • Counsels, disciplines and or terminates employees as needed.
  • Oversees onboarding and orientation of new employees to ensure understanding of duties, responsibilities, work requirements and performance standards.
  • Establishes, monitors, authorizes work schedules, time off & leave requests for employees to meet department business requirements.
  • Applies coaching techniques consistently to ensure staff meets or exceeds sales targets and service goals.
  • Provides ongoing monitoring and review of the branch member experience to ensure continues process improvement.
  • Initiates recommendations and provides solutions to members and gives staff feedback.
  • Works directly with credit union senior management to review, modify and implement changes.
