New Orleans Firemen’s Chairperson Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

New Orleans Firemen’s Federal Credit Union Board Chairperson Joseph Jurisich has been named the National Council of Firefighter Credit Unions’ (NCOFCU) 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.

Jurisich rose to the rank of Deputy Chief during his 30-year career with the New Orleans Fire Department. During that time, he became a member of Firemen’s Federal. Since 1985, he has served on the Supervisory Committee, Advisory Council, and as a member of the Board of Directors. In 2020, Jurisich was selected to serve as Board Chairperson.

“This is such a great surprise. It’s even more fulfilling with my fellow firefighters out there.” Jurisich said in his acceptance at the 2022 NCOFCU conference. “The work I do is because I enjoy it, and, as a fireman, I am still loyal to my credit union.”

The National Council of Firefighters Credit Unions, Inc. (NCOFCU) is a professional credit union association representing credit unions serving firefighters and first responders from across the country.
